Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Manager - Owner Rep, based in Houston, TX. The Project Manager will oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals and adherence to timelines and budgets. Key responsibilities include managing project schedules, coordinating with stakeholders such as architects and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and monitoring progress through inspections and expediting processes. Additionally, the Project Manager will identify solutions to challenges, oversee logistics, and ensure efficient and effective project execution.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum five years experience in public works: water, wastewater, streets, drainage and infrastructure projects could be either design or construction.
- Demonstrated project management abilities (schedule, budget, quality, customer satisfaction).
- Ability to communicate effectively in English. Other languages are a plus. Fluent in Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.
- Ability to manage several projects in different phases at one time.
- Ability to create strong effective teams and create sense of urgency as required.
Qualifications.
- Strong Project Management skills, including the ability to oversee schedules, budgets, and stakeholder requirements.
Principal Duties:
- Overall responsibility for project activities, both technical and execution.
- Manage schedules for assigned projects as part of project team
- Manage budgets for the projects with project team members that are both local and remote.
- Control the projects according to documented procedures.
- Plan and coordinate with engineering personnel for completion of designs.
- Manage the timely production of project deliverables and milestone dates.
- Negotiate technical and commercial contracts with GCs along with the purchasing groups.
- Monitor the deliveries from GCs for schedule & quality compliance.
- Communicate & coordinate with GC at multiple levels throughout project.
- Analyze and effectively address project quality costs.
- Review GC monthly status reports on projects.
- Work through project issues while maintaining positive relationships with GCs.
