Purpose: The Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations for all earthwork and utility projects through project completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Assume overall responsibility for project profitability.
- Ensure projects are completed in compliance with project documents and quality standards.
- Determine the most cost-effective use of construction methods, use of personnel, material, and equipment.
- Responsible for subcontractor scope of work, change order management, and coordination of items.
- Prepare and update project schedule.
- Attend subcontractor/owner meetings as required.
- Prepare monthly profit projections and attend projection meetings.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field is required.
- Minimum of eight years of earthwork and utility experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and manage a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- A self-starter, team player and the ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- High degree of integrity.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and P6. Vista experience a plus.
