What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Painter position at KCD Maintenance, LLC?
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality painting and building maintenance services in an industrial environment. This role requires flexibility, a focus on safety, and an exceptional attention to detail. The hours will be Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, must be able to obtain a DOE security clearance. Opportunities for advancement are available, tools are provided, and paid time off/paid holidays are offered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces by scraping, patching, sanding, and cleaning to ensure smooth, high-quality finishes.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers.
- Move furniture, hang pictures and wall decorations, repair sheetrock, among other light maintenance tasks as required.
- Work in compliance with safety and quality standards and ensure a safe work environment.
- Review and implement work orders and ensure all work complies with customer specifications.
Qualifications:
- Prior painting and maintenance experience is desired.
- Must hold a valid VA driver's license.
- Detail oriented with a quality and safety mindset.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and at heights when necessary.
- Must be a U.S. citizen (non-dual citizen) and able to obtain a DOE security clearance.
