Summary:
Reports to Receiving Team Lead, work with teammates in receiving, putting away materials for production, organizing packing lists, and offloading/loading trucks. Also, responsible for counting every item that comes through receiving for accuracy in inventory/receiving. Assess inventory levels and accuracy through receipts, material movements and cycle counts. Facilitating the corrections of their root causes to improve material and workflow.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Follows safety procedures and always uses good operational and safety judgment ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations.
- Communicates issues regarding receiving and putting away discrepancies to management and assists in resolving said discrepancies.
- Communicates effectively and efficiently with internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Ensure that material receipts and put-away activities are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
- Communicate with Purchasing and Quality departments to provide alerts regarding non-conforming material discovered in Receiving and offer insights into how this may impact production operations.
- Investigates sources of packing list and material receipt discrepancies between actual on-hand quantities and computer system inventory log in order identify possible root causes and effect corrective action.
- Participate in EOM and EOY inventory.
- Safely operates various pieces of warehouse equipment (Forklifts, power tools, etc.).
- Takes the initiative to find, identify and propose changes to processes needing improvement.
- Follows all existing company policies and procedures.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Always Keeps a clean work area (sweeping and taking out trash)
Qualifications:
- GED or High School Diploma. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficient understanding of basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiar with Epicor System
- At least two years of warehouse experience preferred.
- Possess strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
- Possess analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Must pass background check and drug test
Physical Requirements:
- Preferred Certified Forklift Driver
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires bending, stooping, and standing.
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day.
- Good visual and spatial perception.
- Overtime may be necessary during EOM inventory
