In this vital role, you will operate a tractor-trailer to ensure timely and safe transportation of goods. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse routes, handling refrigerated shipments while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards.

Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailer and other commercial vehicles across OTR routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload freight such as refrigerated goods or dry goods using appropriate equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to plan optimal routes and meet delivery schedules while maintaining safety standards.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and the use of ELD.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly.
• Follow all safety protocols, manual handling procedures, and truck loading/unloading processes.

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes with a focus on delivery driving and logistics cargo handling.
• Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operations.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments.
• Experience with truck loading/unloading procedures including forklift operation when necessary.
• Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, and refridgerated goods transportation standards.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, load securement, and vehicle maintenance awareness.

Pay: $1,200.00 - $2,000.00 per week
