Class A CDL Driver

**This position is in our office space located in Crystal Lake, IL between 4:30am-7:00pm Monday-Friday. Please do not apply if these hours do not work with your schedule as this is the only available schedule we have at present time.**- Overtime available.

Brief Summary of the role:

We are looking to hire a dependable and organized Class A truck driver who can consistently provide safe and accurate deliveries. Drivers must be detail-oriented, efficient, and must have a clean driving record. This position will generally work Monday to Friday, and will transport loads across a local route, so drivers will be home daily.

Truck Driver Job Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate trucks.
• Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
• Pre-inspect truck.
• Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
• Report road incidents to the dispatcher.
• Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Inspect trucks and record issues.
• Follow accident procedures should any issues arise.
• Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel immediately.
• Maintain a positive attitude and build positive relations with customers.
• Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Truck Driver Skills and Qualifications:

• Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
• Pallet jack experience required; forklift experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout day
• Able to pass random drug tests
• Clean driving record
• No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years
• Listening and verbal communication skills
• Dependability is very important

Education, Experience, and Age Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must provide current MVR
• Must provide a medical certificate
• CDL – Class A
• Certificate from an accredited CDL school
• 21 years or older

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
