- Review tax returns prepared by external consultants to ensure accuracy for investment activities.
- Support financial reporting for investment accounting, aligning with the firm’s general ledger and annual reports.
- Monitor and analyze investment income excise taxes and project tax liabilities.
- Facilitate regulatory filings for domestic and international jurisdictions to manage compliance risks.
- Support audits for investment entities and special-purpose vehicles, ensuring timely completion.
- Partner with investment accounting and portfolio reporting teams to enhance financial accuracy.
- Experience: 5 years in tax at an asset management firm, investment firm, or Big 4; partnership tax and K-1 preparation required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Certifications: CPA strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in tax and financial software; strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Knowledge: Deep expertise in GAAP and tax rules for investment companies, including PFICs and foreign corporations.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects.
- Mindset: Detail-oriented, independent, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Location: Local to the Boston area for hybrid work (2–3 days/week onsite).
