The responsibilities for the Procurement Specialist / Buyer will include but will not be limited to:
- Continue to strengthen relationships with vendors and build new ones.
- Perform analysis of purchasing, pricing, costs, and provide value added reporting.
- Work very closely with finance, operations production and sales to achieve goals.
- Review pricing, inventory, negotiate contracts, source new vendors, monitor quality of inventory.
- Be a key element of demand planning, forecasts and effective inventory management.
- Bachelor's in Business or related, preferred
- Recent experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups, formulas)
- Strong purchasing experience in manufacturing
- 3 years of relevant accounting experience
