What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Accounting Manager to prepare and distribute timely, accurate monthly financial statements
- Review and resolve discrepancies in financial entries, documents, and reports to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Provide thoughtful guidance on accounting treatment for capital expenditures and other asset-related transactions
- Maintain and analyze daily subsidiary accounts to ensure integrity of financial data
- Complete monthly reconciliations of cash and balance sheet accounts
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process and support strategic financial planning
- Work with external auditors to support annual reviews and audits
- Participate in special projects that drive process improvement and financial insight
- Serve as a mentor and resource to junior accounting staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3 years of hands-on experience in property or real estate accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and real estate financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting platforms such as Yardi, MRI, or similar
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for digging into the details
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you’re confident working with colleagues at all levels of the business
