- Review and assess internal control frameworks to ensure that business risks are effectively identified and managed.
- Evaluate the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of operational activities and resource usage.
- Analyze workflows and procedures to identify control gaps and develop audit testing strategies accordingly.
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation of audit procedures in line with professional standards.
- Prepare audit summaries and formal reports based on internal methodologies and quality standards.
- Collaborate with third-party auditors by providing necessary audit support and documentation.
- Contribute to special reviews and strategic initiatives led by audit leadership.
- Manage external audit partnerships, including coordinating data requests and evaluating external findings.
- Execute internal control testing in support of compliance with financial reporting regulations (e.g., SOX).
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degrees are beneficial.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or similar credentials are strongly preferred.
- Prior experience with public accounting firms, particularly in audit functions.
- At least three years of relevant audit experience within the financial services or regulated sectors.
- Solid understanding of internal control concepts and risk-based auditing principles (e.g., COSO framework).
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance practices, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
