Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual, quarterly, and interim financial statements and footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare quarterly SEC filings, quarterly CFTC/NFA filings, and annual CIMA regulatory reports
- Produce investor-specific monthly reports and respond to investor inquiries
- Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations to ensure accuracy of accounting records
- Compile audit deliverables and review formal communications from external auditors
- Incorporate consolidation accounting across multiple legal entities into reporting deliverables
- Evaluate reporting thresholds for regulatory compliance and portfolio constraints for individual investors
- Analyze daily trades to ensure proper classification within the accounting system
- Assist with regulatory reporting requirements in foreign jurisdictions (e.g., Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal)
- Prepare and review materials for Board of Directors meetings
- Prepare materials for weekly investment/deal meetings
- Research accounting guidance and draft qualitative and quantitative disclosures
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with Accounting course work
- 0–2 years of experience in financial services; hedge fund or private equity experience a plus
- Public accounting experience (1–2 years) preferred for higher compensation band
- Knowledge of fixed income securities (including bond amortization), derivatives, complex financial instruments, and master-feeder structures is a plus
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Total Return accounting system a plus
