Global life sciences company is seeking a Director Financial Reporting to add to their growing team. This role reports directly into the CAO and will lead the SEC reporting process (10K's, 10Q's) and support technical accounting and SOX controls. We are seeking candidates with a CPA and 10 years of experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.

- Lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and other required filings.
- Ensure compliance with SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, SOX requirements, and applicable disclosure standards.
- Manage the external reporting calendar and coordinate cross-functional inputs to ensure timely filings.
- Review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, earnings releases, and supporting disclosure documentation.
- Partner with technical accounting teams to evaluate and document accounting treatment for complex or non-routine transactions.
- Oversee XBRL tagging and filing processes.
- Support implementation and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and investor relations regarding external communications and disclosure matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 10 years of experience, ideally with a mix of public and corporate accounting
- CPA required
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance requirements.
- Experience with financial reporting software and SEC filing tools preferred.
