Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and present monthly financial statements, management reports, and forecasts for senior leadership.
- Manage the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial planning, including monitoring expenses and cost controls.
- Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and financial risk oversight.
- Establish and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Coordinate year-end audits and work closely with external auditors and advisors.
- Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support operational improvements and profitability.
- Assist leadership with pricing analysis, contract review, and financial modeling initiatives.
- Manage and develop accounting staff while promoting accountability and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 5–7 years of accounting or finance experience, ideally within a closely held hospitality business.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience working with accounting systems such as QuickBooks or similar platforms, with strong Excel skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and experience managing accounting functions and staff.
