Client Accounting Services Senior Accountant

A growing regional public accounting firm is expanding its Client Accounting Services Group and is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team in Wakefield, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for a public accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients and wants broader exposure beyond traditional audit and tax.

The Senior Accountant will work across a diverse client base, take ownership of accounting engagements, and help build and grow the firm’s CAS / Advisory practice.

$90,000–$130,000

Hybrid – Wakefield, MA

Job Description

• Provide outsourced accounting and client accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting
• Assist clients with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash flow analysis
• Work directly with client management to identify accounting issues and provide recommendations
• Support accounting system implementations, process improvements, and the continued growth of the CAS / Advisory practice
  
  

Job Requirements:

• 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements
• Client-facing experience with strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• CPA preferred but not required; experience with accounting software and technology is a plus
