The Proposal Manager will play a crucial role in leading the proposal development process, ensuring the timely submission of high-quality, compliant, and complete proposals that meet client requirements. Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, from initial RFP analysis to submission.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts, writers, and contributors to gather necessary information for proposal content.
- Provides leadership and direction to managers or professional staff.
- Develop and maintain proposal schedules, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Identify and allocate resources effectively to meet proposal requirements.
- Write, edit, and review proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with client requirements.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to translate complex information into compelling proposals.
- Conduct thorough reviews to ensure proposals meet the highest quality standards.
- Implement best practices in proposal development to enhance overall quality and competitiveness.
- Interact with BD and Operations personnel to clarify requirements and address queries during the proposal development process.
- Foster positive relationships across teams through professional and effective communication.
- Contribute to maintaining a repository of proposal content, templates, and reusable materials to streamline future proposal development.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Typically 9 years of proven experience in proposal management, business development, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools.
- Master's degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in proposal management and/or project management.
- Experience in a similar industry or with complex technical proposals.
- Familiarity with government contracting processes.
- Demonstrated success in winning competitive proposals.
- Current security clearance.
