Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT development teams for the implementation of new systems, product enhancements, and technology solutions across multiple business units.
- Act as Product Owner within Agile development teams, ensuring solutions align with customer needs, business priorities, and strategic objectives.
- Gather, analyze, document, validate, and prioritize business requirements and translate them into actionable user stories and functional specifications.
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs, define acceptance criteria, and support sprint planning, reviews, testing, and release activities.
- Evaluate new applications, technologies, and system capabilities and recommend solutions that improve business performance and operational efficiency.
- Lead analysis activities to identify business data requirements, data quality needs, business rules, and process dependencies.
- Partner with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and end users to design effective business processes and technology solutions.
- Support the development and execution of product roadmaps, continuous improvement initiatives, and portfolios of change aligned with business strategy.
- Develop process documentation, workflow diagrams, and business models to support solution design, implementation, and adoption.
- Deliver reporting, analysis, and recommendations that support business decision-making and organizational performance improvements.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and provide guidance to less experienced team members as needed.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Project Manager, or related role.
- Experience working within Agile and Scrum delivery environments.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders to define and deliver technology solutions.
- Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, product ownership principles, and requirements management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements and technology solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with business process analysis, workflow design, and process improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of data analysis concepts, data quality principles, and reporting solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and relationship-building capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to quickly understand and evaluate new technologies and emerging digital capabilities.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Product Owner certification.
- Experience supporting enterprise-wide technology initiatives across multiple business functions.
- Experience developing or contributing to product roadmaps and strategic change initiatives.
- Experience with data modeling, business intelligence, reporting, or data governance activities.
- Experience working in government contracting, engineering, technology, or other highly regulated industries.
