The KBF Sales and Use Tax group offers a comprehensive range of services designed to support our client’s growth and expansion. Our services and projects are tailored to meet our clients' needs. Services include multistate expansion analysis, income/sales tax nexus analysis and planning, income/sales tax compliance, and representation in examinations. Responsibilities
The salary range for this position reflects various factors that influence compensation decisions, such as skills, experience, training, certifications, licensure, geographic location, and other organizational requirements. At KBF CPAs, it is uncommon for a candidate to be hired at the high end of the salary range, as compensation is based on the unique qualifications and circumstances of each individual. The estimated current salary range for this role is $90,000 to $125,000

Responsibilities
- Provide sales and use tax consulting, including nexus studies, technical research, exposure quantification, voluntary disclosures, reverse sales tax audits, ASC 450 reviews, technology, planning and other sales and use related projects
- Advise clients of the sales and use tax implications relating to their business objectives; recommend alternate courses of action, as well as identify different methods of complying with sales and use tax statutes and regulations
- Serve as a client service contact for a portfolio of sales and use tax clients; proactively recognize opportunities to provide additional services
- Assist with delivery of accounting services to ensure technical accuracy and high-quality work product within budgetary and time constraints
- Assist in managing client relationships by understanding their business operations and tailoring our services to their specific needs
- Proactively manage project deadlines to ensure delivery of work product based on client expectations and statutory deadlines
- Research and stay current on changes in the profession and US state tax law
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Must hold one of the following credentials: Licensed CPA, Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Member of the Institute (CMI), Juris Doctor (JD), or Master of Laws (LLM)
- Minimum of 3 years of tax experience in public accounting with a focus on Sales and Use Tax and a current title of “Senior Associate” or similar equivalent
- Motivated, quick learner with strong communication skills and demonstrated professionalism
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
