What are the responsibilities and job description for the PERSONAL SUPPORT STAFF position at KB Christian Support Services LLC?
KB Christian Support Services LLC Is now hiring for a personal support staff. Must be able to left over 50 pounds. Must be able to work around and help with their animals. Workshift are daytime (Monday-Friday)(8am-2pm) Paid bi-weekly Starting pay is $15 hour, willing to negotiate for experience and completed training done with APD.
Duties.
- Assisting people in a home and community setting with dailying living skills, such as transfers, must be able to lift over 50 pounds to assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Must be able to work around emotional support animals (2cats)
- Help with meal preparation and assist individual with meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Use specialized equipment such as mobile,electric chairs, shower chairs and resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning duties in resident rooms and common areas to assist with care of emotional support animals Support residents’ emotional well-being through compassionate communication and engagement activities
- Must be able use a computer or electronics to record a delivery service log within the APD iconnect EVV system
- Observe and document patient conditions accurately in a delivery service notes and report any changes or concerns promptly to EVV supervisors
- Collaborate effectively with Individual support team including co-workers, social workers, nurses, therapists, and family members.
Skills
- Experience preferred in home & community care environments with intellectual and/or physical disabled individuals
- Willingness to participate in training sessions on CPR, first aid, person centered care, HIPAA, Zero Tolerance, and other relevant topics to enhance your skills and required of your employment
- Ability to perform safely transfers of Individual to equipment
- Excellent communication skills for working with people with disabilities or individuals with complex health needs such as Intellectual learning disability or autism spectrum disorder
- Experience providing compassionate patient care tailored to individual needs
- Knowledge of infection control practices including cleaning protocols
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
