Duties
- Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring high-quality presentation
- Develop and execute menu items that meet restaurant standards and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to food safety protocols
- Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, preparing rice, and assembling rolls
- Manage inventory of ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service efficiently
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards at all times
- Assist in menu planning and innovation to keep offerings fresh and appealing
- Provide excellent food service by maintaining attention to detail and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven culinary experience with a focus on sushi preparation or Japanese cuisine
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques
- Experience in fine dining, food presentation, and meal preparation
