What are the responsibilities and job description for the Book Author position at Kayla Bramante, Literary Agent, Storyteller Talent Agency?
Seeking High-Performing Indie Authors for Representation and Career Expansion
Posted by: Kayla Bramante, Literary Agent and Publishing Strategist
Independent publishing has changed the landscape of the industry, and authors with talent, clear brand identity, and strong Amazon performance now have more opportunities than ever before. I am opening applications for a select group of indie authors who are ready to move from successful self-publishing into traditional publishing, audiobook rights opportunities, foreign rights sales, and potential film and television adaptation.
I work with authors who have either completed a polished manuscript that is close to submission-ready or who have independently released a book within the last two years that is already showing strong traction in the market. My approach is highly hands-on and focused on elevating both the project and the author’s long-term career.
Authors who work with me receive representation and consultation in several key areas. These include preparing a project for a Big Five reprint acquisition, identifying opportunities in international markets, exploring audio production and distribution, and developing the book’s positioning for film or television. I also work closely with authors on branding, platform development, and long-term publishing strategy.
In addition to my agency work, I maintain an active presence on TikTok as a nano influencer with more than 6,000 followers. I post one to three videos daily on writing, editing, publishing, and author entrepreneurship. My audience includes thousands of writers seeking high-quality industry guidance, and this visibility benefits every author I represent.
I prioritize quality, vision, marketability, and a strong author voice. I represent only a small number of writers at any given time to ensure that each author receives individualized attention and a true partnership.
Interested authors should submit the following:
A link to your Amazon page if your book is already published.
The first ten pages of your manuscript if you are still in the final stage of writing.
A short description of your project, your goals, and any notable sales or readership achievements.
If you believe your work is ready for the next level of visibility and opportunity, I invite you to apply. I look forward to reviewing your material and potentially building a long-term professional relationship that supports your creative and career ambitions.
