Title: Standards Engineer
Location: PEMC, Georgetown, KY (On-site)
Travel: 10% max (domestic)
International Travel: No
Overtime: 10%
Duration: 12 months and possible for extension
Job Description:
- Responsibilities of the project/ standards engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop, review and update facility / construction standards and specifications related to mechanical, electrical, civil and architectural systems.
- Collaborate with design, planning, manufacturing and projects teams for completion of standards and specifications
- Monitor industry trends, global Our Client trends and current/past building issues. Update standards and specifications as needed.
- Manage multiple standards simultaneously to ensure quick completion
- Provide guidance on standards to Our Client teams
- Document and maintain records related to standards and specifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related field)
- Level of experience: 5-10 years
- Proven experience in standards development, engineering implementation or quality assurance (5 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (ASTM, ASHREA, IBC, NFPA, etc)
- Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, BluBeam, or other PDF editing software
Additional Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with construction standards and specifications.
- Proficiency with standards management software or tools.
