Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Engage children in hands-on activities that support childhood development milestones and encourage active participation.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to create a respectful and inclusive environment.
• Support toddlers and preschoolers with specialized care strategies, including early intervention techniques for children with additional needs or disabilities.
• Maintain detailed lesson plans, progress records, and assessments aligned with educational standards such as Montessori or other pedagogical frameworks.
• Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding each child’s progress, behavior, and welfare.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to childcare regulations, health protocols, and safety procedures at all times.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management strategies, and behavior management techniques.
• Experience working with children across various age groups, especially toddlers and preschoolers.
• Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education tailored for early learners.
• Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention methods to support diverse learning needs.
• Ability to implement standardized testing where applicable to monitor developmental progress effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and caregivers seamlessly.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or other educational philosophies that emphasize child-centered learning.
• Experience in classroom management within daycare or private school settings is highly desirable.
