HVAC Technician Needed

Kay Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is hiring an HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team in Lexington, South Carolina.

This is a full-time, year-round position for a dependable HVAC professional who is confident diagnosing and repairing heating and air conditioning systems, communicates well with customers, and takes pride in performing quality work.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• At least three years of HVAC field experience
• Current EPA certification
• Strong HVAC diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable communicating repair and replacement options to customers
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to use mobile technology to document job information
• Live within approximately 60 minutes of Lexington, SC
• Able to successfully complete a background check and drug screening

Experience with HVAC service, maintenance and/or installation is required.

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Service Technician, you will provide residential and commercial heating and cooling services. Responsibilities may include:

• Diagnosing HVAC system failures and performance problems
• Repairing air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, package units, and related equipment
• Performing preventive HVAC maintenance and system tune-ups
• Installing HVAC equipment, components, accessories, and indoor air quality products
• Testing systems to verify safe and efficient operation
• Explaining diagnostic findings and recommended repairs to customers
• Presenting repair and replacement options clearly and professionally
• Completing electronic job notes, invoices, photos, and equipment documentation
• Following manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and company procedures
• Maintaining an organized, clean, and properly stocked company vehicle
• Providing professional service and a positive customer experience

Compensation

• $20–$35 per hour Commission Bonuses
