Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding them through product selections
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining attractive merchandising standards
• Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities
• Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cash drawer management, and basic math calculations
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
• Support inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and inventory counts to ensure product availability
• Promote store promotions and new products through engaging communication and product knowledge

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment is a plus
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and POS operations
• Experience supervising or leading small teams is advantageous but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated
• Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising, and stock management techniques
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising

Pay: From $15.10 per hour
