Product Quality Analyst

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and analyze failed parts returned by dealers to select good representative samples for identifying the conditions under which failures occur.
  • Perform hands-on in-house and field testing and investigations of quality-related parts to identify root causes. Prepare detailed investigative reports with data describing failure conditions and the circumstances required to reproduce the issue.
  • Closely monitor service and warranty data from customers and dealers. Analyze and investigate this information to assess severity, frequency, and occurrence rates, as well as the potential impact of each issue.
  • Proactively communicate issues that are, or may soon become, high in volume, high in warranty cost, or harmful to customer satisfaction with Kawasaki products.
  • Provide detailed reports to help engineers develop countermeasures and define action steps that lead to product improvements.
  • Conduct dealer and customer site visits to investigate product quality issues with existing products and deliver detailed findings reports.

 

Education and Experience:

Strong powersports mechanical background with at least five years of experience in the powersports industry or a dealership environment, including a minimum of three years of direct Kawasaki brand experience.

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Strong computer skills with experience working with Word, Excel, Cognos and PowerPoint.
  • Mechanical background in motorcycles, Side-X-Sides, ATVs and PWCs.
  • Highly knowledgeable and skillful riding experience with motorcycles, Side-X-Sides, ATVs and PWCs.
  • Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to successfully organize and prioritize multiple competing tasks.
  • Extremely detail and deadline oriented.
  • A good self-starter that can take initiative to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, DOT certification (to drive pickup and trailer) and motorcycle license.
  • Requires some travel including weekends. The approximate percentage of travel required: 10%.

 

Salary: $85,000 - $89,000
