Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as plumbing inspection cameras.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to accurately execute plumbing layouts and modifications.
- Conduct plumbing inspections to identify issues with water systems, drainage, or piping; perform repairs or replacements as needed.
- Operate welding equipment and pipe threading tools to assemble or modify piping systems in accordance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Use construction experience to perform remodeling tasks, assemble fixtures, and support HVAC systems where applicable.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to site safety protocols.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to ensure precise installation and maintenance of plumbing infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and system modifications for compliance and future reference.
- Collaborate effectively with construction teams by interpreting technical drawings and schematics to meet project specifications.
- Support construction site activities by utilizing carpentry skills for framing or structural adjustments related to plumbing installations.
Qualifications
- Proven construction experience with a focus on plumbing installation, maintenance, or repair in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of construction plumbing techniques including pipe threading, welding, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation.
- Familiarity with local building codes governing water systems and plumbing installations.
- Mechanical knowledge of water systems, HVAC components, and plumbing inspection cameras.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and pipe threading equipment safely.
- Experience with remodeling projects or handyman tasks is a plus.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe sizing or system layouts.
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for site travel requirements.
