The Paralegal works directly with our attorneys to prepare for upcoming cases and gets involved in fact-finding projects. Responsibilities and Duties:
Target Hiring Range: $55,000 - $80,000

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works with attorneys to develop legal arguments, motions and other case filings.
- Manages attorney caseloads by exhibiting a high level of professionalism, and commitment to helping the Firm meet all our clients’ needs.
- Utilizes existing files and a variety of other research resources to develop information for pending cases.
- Drafts discovery demands and responses, including, but not limited to, Requests for Production, Interrogatories, Notices for Discovery and Inspection and Requests for Admissions.
- Processes deposition transcripts, and prepares timelines, as well as demonstrative exhibits.
- Prepares trial and arbitration hearing binders.
- Assists with drafting documents such as: Motion to Strike, Motion for Continuances, Proposed Orders, Requests for Judicial Notice, Evidentiary Objections, etc.
- Assists with e-filing in State, Federal and Appellate Courts.
- Reviews outgoing document production, including redacting and Bates stamping.
- Creates Preservation of Evidence Letter and Document Request Letters.
- Performs legal research via Lexis Nexis.
- Processes HIPAA authorizations and follow up with providers for medical records.
- Reviews, summarize and analyze medical records to assist with defense of action.
- Other duties, as needed, to support the firm and office operations.

- Paralegal certificate required.
- 2 years of Litigation experience required.
- General Liability or Insurance Coverage background preferred.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, principles, and software’s (NetDocs and West Law preferred).
- The ability to analyze legal documents, and conduct legal research, for accuracy.
- Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
