Kats Law is a growing, results-driven personal injury firm seeking a motivated and driven Associate Attorney with 2–5 years of experience in personal injury negotiation and litigation.
This is not a back-office role. You will have direct client contact, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to handle cases from intake through resolution. We are looking for someone who is sharp, proactive, highly motivated and ready to take the next step in their career. Looking for a home with family friendly feel.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a docket of personal injury cases from intake through settlement
- Conduct client consultations and evaluate case viability
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Handle written discovery and manage responses
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
- Work closely with clients to provide clear, consistent communication
- Collaborate with support staff to move cases efficiently
- Help Manage the support staff
What We're Looking for
- 2–5 years of personal injury experience (plaintiff or defense)
- Licensed and in good standing in Ohio
- Strong writing, negotiation, and litigation skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Organized, detail-oriented, and responsive
- Trial experience is a plus, but not required
- Working knowledge of Filevine (or similar case management software) is a plus
- Fluency in a second language is a strong plus (include in your resume)
