Katanacraft is now accepting applications for an experienced Marine Systems Rigger/Boat Outfitter to join our exceptional manufacturing team in Grants Pass, Oregon.

6:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday
Overtime:
Mandatory overtime may be required on an as-needed basis to meet production goals

General Description:
Assist all departments with electrical, mechanical and plumbing installation to produce the highest quality Katanacraft aluminum vessels. This includes, but is not limited to installation of electrical systems, outboard engines, inboard engines and components such as cables, wiring, fuel systems, radios, GPS, lights, steering systems, carpet and windows.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain a positive and proactive communication relationship with teammates and supervisors
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work both independently and with regular instruction and checkpoints to ensure quality control
Physical Skills:
- Must be able to lift, carry and push articles weighing up to minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in confined areas of the vessel for applicable job duties such as wiring and installing components
- Solid working knowledge of methods used in marine rigging
- Ability to interpret work from drawings, diagrams and installation procedures
- Experienced use of all shop tools - including electric, air and hand equipment within the department
- Strong working knowledge of measurements and mathematical skills
Preferred Certifications:
- Marine trade knowledge preferred (ABYC Certification a plus)
- 1yr General mechanical knowledge, outboard motors, marine electronics and electrical systems
- Forklift Certification
