Job Summary
- The client is seeking a Commissioning and Design Engineer to join their engineering and automation team for a pharmaceutical facility in Rensselaer, New York.
- This role involves supporting the full commissioning lifecycle of stainless-steel pressure vessels in a new facility, including design, FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and qualification activities.
- The engineer will act as an onsite SME, coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution in a cleanroom/pharma environment.
- Support the full commissioning lifecycle from detailed design through commissioning, FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ/PQ, and qualifications
- Assist in commissioning stainless steel pressure vessels and associated systems
- Work within engineering and automation teams to support new facility setup
- Assist with vessel orders, construction, and installation activities
- Act as onsite SME for pressure vessels and associated valves
- Manage and coordinate with equipment vendors
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams
- Work on pressure vessel design in a pharmaceutical environment
- Handle cleaning considerations in coordination with CIT and CIP teams
- Support projects involving:
- 18 tanks per suite (36 total)
- 6 prep tanks and 12 hold tanks
- Downstream distribution piping connected to chrome skids
- Systems not using bags
- Ensure effective communication and teamwork across functions
- Bachelor's / 4-year degree in Engineering or similar field
- 7 years of experience with the full commissioning lifecycle
- Exposure or expertise in commissioning stainless steel pressure vessels
- Fluent in controls on pressure vessels
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience in pharma/life sciences or cleanroom environment
- Experience working with and coordinating vendors
