Job Description:
Kasin Law is seeking a compassionate and skilled Family Law Attorney to serve clients in King, Pierce, Snohomish and surrounding counties. The ideal candidate will have experience in divorce cases, parenting plan matters, and child support issues. Candidate should be comfortable with tasks that may involve claims of domestic violence.
Candidates must be admitted to practice in Washington and should have at least two years’ experience in family law. We would consider an exceptional candidate with less experience. All candidates should have knowledge of current case law, statutes, court rules and rules of professional conduct applicable to family law matters.
On-site, remote, or hybrid options are available with support staff provided. 401k retirement plan offered with generous matching.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution.
- Handle client consultations and provide legal advice on family law issues.
- Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct discovery of various electronically stored data and hard copies of information in preparation for litigation.
- Represent clients in mediation, court hearings, and trials.
- Negotiate settlements and collaborate with opposing counsel to resolve cases amicably when possible.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates and explain legal options and strategies.
- Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Professional attitude with a strong sense of discretion to keep sensitive information secure and private.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the Washington State Bar.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing family law.
- Excellent writing, research, and interpersonal skills.
