Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Civil Laborer to join our utilities construction team. The successful candidate will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground utility systems. This role involves physical labor, supporting equipment operators and tradespeople, and maintaining safety and efficiency on site. Kasco of Idaho is a drug free work place. CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO PASS DRUG SCREEN.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of underground utilities (e.g. conduit for electrical/communications).
- Set up job site with traffic control, barricades, and trench protection.
- Support equipment operators by spotting, signaling, and providing ground support.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment such as compactors and jackhammers.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and use of materials like PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, and concrete.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including site cleanup at the end of each day.
- Follow all company and regulatory safety procedures, including confined space entry and trench safety.
- Work closely with crews to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe practices to supervisors promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience in utility construction, civil labor, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work in trenches, confined spaces, and around heavy machinery.
- Physically fit with ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions and safety protocols.
- Reliable transportation to and from office headquarters.
- Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Pay: $21.86 - $26.33 per hour
