Position Summary
Karvo Companies, Inc. is seeking experienced Heavy Highway Equipment Operators to join our growing team. This role is responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery used in highway and road construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, loaders, graders, rollers, and skid steers
- Perform grading, excavation, and material handling tasks for highway and sitework projects
- Follow project plans, grade stakes, and instructions from supervisors
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Work collaboratively with crew members, foremen, and project managers
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in highway or civil construction
- Ability to read grade stakes and interpret site plans preferred
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required)
- Willingness to travel to job sites and work varying schedules
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented attitude
- Outdoor construction sites in varying weather conditions
- Physically demanding work requiring lifting, climbing, and extended periods of equipment operation
