We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision metal components. Your expertise will ensure that parts meet strict quality standards and specifications. Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders, ensuring accurate production according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
• Program CNC equipment using G-code, M-code, and CAM programming software to optimize machining operations.
• Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine machining requirements and tooling setups.
• Perform machine setup, calibration, and tooling changes efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement tools to verify part dimensions and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and lean manufacturing principles.
• Troubleshoot machining issues promptly, adjusting machine parameters or tooling as needed to ensure consistent quality.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC lathes, milling machines, or grinders with proficiency in Fanuc or similar controls.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming including G-code, M-code, and CAM software like SolidWorks or CAD for toolpath generation.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings with precision measurement skills.
• Familiarity with machining tools, manual machining techniques, and setup procedures for both CNC and manual equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude combined with understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards for quality control.
• Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
• Basic math skills for calculating measurements, tolerances, and machining parameters.
• Knowledge of tooling selection, fixture setup, and machine calibration procedures.
• Ability to operate measurement instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines for quality inspection.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
