Job Summary

Duties
- Assist with the setup and operation of CNC machines such as lathes and mills, including programming with G-code and M-code.
- Learn to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to produce precise parts.
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, ETC to ensure quality standards are met.
- Support manual machining tasks using hand tools, grinders, lathes, and other machining tools to produce or modify components.
- Participate in machine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance of CNC and manual equipment.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with power tools, tooling, and machining equipment.
- Gain experience in measurement for quality control purposes and assist with CNC quality inspections to verify part accuracy.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings confidently.
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges
- Knowledge of CNC programming concepts including G-code, M-code, Fanuc controls or similar systems is a plus.
- Experience or coursework in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software like SolidWorks or general CAD skills preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity for precision machining tasks.
- Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and measurements necessary for machining operations.
- Willingness to learn machine setup procedures on CNC lathe and milling machines while adhering to safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring instruments in a manufacturing environment.
