Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and compassionate caregivers to join our On-Call Caregiver Program. This role is essential in ensuring consistent, high-quality care for our clients when unexpected callouts or scheduling changes occur.
Our on-call caregivers play a critical role in supporting our commitment to Faith, Integrity, Reliability, Compassion, and Excellence (FIRCE) by providing reliable coverage and maintaining continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Remain available and ready to work during assigned on-call hours
- Respond to calls or texts within 10 minutes
- Report to assigned shifts within approximately 1 hour (depending on location)
- Complete assigned shifts in full unless otherwise approved
- Maintain clear, professional communication at all times
- Deliver high-quality care aligned with company standards
Eligibility Requirements
- CNA, PCA or NA preferred. Personal Care experience required.
- Ability to provide all levels of care from minimum to maximum/total assistance
- Demonstrated reliability and strong communication skills
- Valid Driver's License and auto insurance
- Reliable transportation to drive to and from assignments
- Ability to travel to assignments within required timeframes
- Ability to work around pets, smokers, male and female clients
- Willingness to travel throughout coverage territory for the Lynchburg office location
- Background check and drug screen required
Compensation & Benefits
- On-Call Rate: $15 per hour for the assigned on-call period provided they remain available, responsive, and accept assignments when offered.”
- Caregiver will be paid $17 per hour for any shift worked during the on call period. Weekend differential of one dollar more per hour for shifts worked.
- Mileage Reimbursement: Provided for travel exceeding 25 miles from home (when applicable)
