The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning and trust administration matters. This attorney will handle all aspects of complex estate planning, including the design, drafting, and implementation of revocable and irrevocable trusts, as well as related tax planning strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide counsel on advanced estate and tax planning strategies for high-net-worth clients.
- Draft a full range of estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and related agreements.
- Manage all aspects of trust administration, including fiduciary compliance, distributions, and tax reporting.
- Coordinate with tax professionals and fiduciaries to ensure effective estate and tax planning outcomes.
- Advise clients on wealth transfer techniques, charitable planning, and business succession matters.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of California (required).
- 10+ years of experience in trust administration and estate planning for high-net-worth clients.
- Proven ability to draft sophisticated estate planning documents.
- Excellent academic credentials and strong written, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Large law firm experience and an LL.M. in Taxation are strongly preferred.
