- lnvolved in New Product Development
- Participates in Advanced Product Quality Planning
- Prepares Product Part Approval Process documentation to the customers' requirements for new product submissions
- Interprets customer GD&T print requirements
- Communicates with suppliers or customers on quality and print related issues
- Prepares and directs the Control Plan document system
- May perform Quality lnspector's duties and responsibilities
- Evaluates parts or processes and reports any non-conformances
- Utilizes the system for control of Non-conforming materials and processes and Corrective and Preventive Action
- Investigates and documents 8D formatted corrective actions
- Promotes and participates on continuous improvement teams, as needed
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in quality engineering and related disciplines including implementing and applying quality tools (APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, PPAP, SPC, GD&T) and problem-solving techniques (8D, 5-Why, etc.) in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- ASQ CQE or CQA desirable
- Auditor experience (ISO 9000 and TS 16949)
- Structured problem-solving experience (Six Sigma Green Belt or Shainin Red “X” Journeyman) desired.
