Overview
As a cashier you will attend to the customers, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payments, issue receipts, answer inquiries, and provide helpful information to customers products, promotions, or item location. You will also respond to complaints, process refunds or exchanges of items, and maintain a clean workspace. To succeed as a Cashier, you should have a strong work ethic and high level of accuracy. You should be responsible, attentive to customer needs, and committed to providing excellent service. This position is considered non-exempt under the FLSA.
Duties
- · Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.
· Operating scanners, cash registers, and other electronics.
· Balancing the cash register and generating reports for credit and debit sales.
· Create Quotes, Sales Orders and Invoices.
· Bank Deposits.
. Basic knowledge of accounting systems – Book Keeping
· Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
· Processing refunds and exchanges, resolving complaints.
· Following all set procedures and making sure they are posted, if applicable, to ensure accuracy in each process.
· Make sure that the projector, tv's and music is always on during work hour operations.
· Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
· Other duties as assigned by Kapal from time to time.
Skills
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience in product demos to engage customers and enhance their shopping experience.
- Proficiency in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
- Ability to stock merchandise efficiently while maintaining store organization.
- Prior sales experience is beneficial for understanding customer needs and preferences.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling calls professionally.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish).
