Join our team and build your career with confidence We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our Shared Service Center. The Shared Service Center provides support to the US based companies that operate ready mix concrete and aggregate plants. In the Kansas City area these companies include Quicksilver Readymix and Talon Concrete & Aggregates. All companies are subsidiaries of the publicly-held corporation, Eagle Materials, based in Dallas, Texas. This position is tasked with working closely with our colleagues at the plants to ensure accurate and timely invoicing to our customers. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a team-friendly environment will be key contributing factors for overall success.
Key Responsibilities
Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Process and distribute customer invoices daily
- Process approved credit memos and debit memos on customer accounts
- Utilize Smartsheet (Workflow) tool for customer adjustments, project maintenance records, and suspended orders
- Process and distribute customer statements
- Track and maintain batch tickets
- Additional duties as assigned by direct supervisor or management
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Accounting, or combination of education and experience
- Industry experience within the Concrete and Aggregate business a plus
- 1-3 years Billing & AR experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Team player and ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft applications
