- Perform in-process sample testing, classification/disposition testing of finished product, and non-routine exploratory analyses through physical testing and instrumental analysis, utilizing the following processes/instrumentation:
- High Intensity Blending
- HDT/Vica
- GC
- FTIR
- XRF
- Other typical laboratory instrumentation related to polymer-specific testing (e.g. Viscometer, Particle Size Analyzer, analytical balances, pH)
- Assists in performing analytical method validation/qualifications
- Perform calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory instrumentation deemed QC critical
- Maintain QC Laboratory systems in alignment with ISO compliance
- Assure proper handling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste generated while performing laboratory activities
- Complete all required personnel training, qualification assessments, and safety procedure sign-offs
- Sample and data management via computerized systems (i.e. LIMS, instrumentation software suites, etc.)
- Track standards and solvents, disposable supplies/consumables, and laboratory equipment
- Ensure timely sample testing turnaround
- Issue safe work permits for completion of work
- Perform investigations into laboratory deviations and OOSs
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe working environment
