What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer – Construction position at Kane Partners LLC?
Most Project Engineer roles are just paperwork and support work.
This isn’t one of them.
You’ll be stepping into a role where you work directly with experienced Project Managers, get full exposure to how projects actually run, and grow quickly into more responsibility.
The work itself is different too - these are highly technical builds where coordination, precision, and execution matter.
The company is growing fast and investing in people. Multiple Project Engineers have already moved into management roles within a year.
If you’re looking for real growth, not just another line on your resume, this is that opportunity.
What You’ll Do
You’ll support projects from kickoff through closeout — not just one piece of it.
• Lead submittals and RFIs
• Support design and engineering reviews
• Track procurement and material takeoffs
• Assist with budgeting and cost control
• Coordinate subcontractors and scopes
• Maintain documentation in Procore
• Track schedules and project milestones
• Support safety and quality planning
• Work with field teams to solve real construction issues
You’ll learn how projects are actually built — not just how they look on paper.
What They’re Looking For
• 1–3 years in construction (Project Engineer, Coordinator, Field Engineer, etc.)
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, document control, or procurement
• Procore experience preferred
• Strong Excel / systems skills
• Organized, detail-driven, and accountable
• Someone who wants to grow into more responsibility quickly
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Why This Role Stands Out
• Clear path into Project Management
• Fast-growing company with strong project pipeline
• Hands-on mentorship from experienced PMs
• Exposure to complex, technical construction
• Structured environment — not chaos
• Competitive compensation ($80K–$105K)
If you’re ready to move beyond “support work” and start building real project ownership, this is worth a conversation
