What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Support Engineer position at Kane Partners LLC?
U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders only (No sponsorship available)
Do you enjoy solving complex technical problems and getting to the root cause of production issues?
We're working with an established technology company looking for a Delivery Support Engineer to support enterprise communication platforms after deployment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong Linux background who enjoys troubleshooting applications, investigating system behavior, and working directly with customers to resolve challenging production issues.
This isn't a traditional Linux administration position. Instead of building infrastructure, you'll use Linux, networking knowledge, logs, and diagnostic tools to identify why applications aren't performing as expected and help drive resolution.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot complex application issues in Linux production environments
- Analyze logs, processes, services, and system performance to identify root causes
- Support software deployments, patches, upgrades, and production changes
- Investigate Linux configuration, networking, and application interactions
- Troubleshoot SIP, VoIP, and related communication platform issues
- Capture and analyze packet traces using Wireshark and tcpdump
- Work closely with customers, engineering, and development teams to resolve technical issues
- Document procedures and create technical implementation documentation (MOPs)
What We're Looking For
- 5 years supporting Linux-based enterprise applications or platforms
- Strong Linux troubleshooting skills using the command line
- Experience investigating application performance and production issues
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and general networking concepts
- Experience supporting VoIP, SIP, or telecommunications technologies
- Ability to analyze packet captures and system logs
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills
Nice to Have
- Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar Linux distributions
- RTP, Session Border Controllers (SBCs), or Diameter protocol
- VMware or virtualization experience
- Bash, Python, or other scripting experience
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Competitive salary ($125K-$130K)
- Hybrid work schedule
- Work on mission-critical enterprise communication platforms
- Highly technical role with real ownership and variety
- Collaborative environment working alongside experienced engineering teams
If you're the type of engineer who enjoys digging into logs, tracing issues through Linux and networking, and solving problems that don't have obvious answers, we'd love to connect.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
