Responsibilities:
- Manage new hire recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding new hires for our growing team
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR files, and HRIS data
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries
- Support payroll processing by tracking attendance, PTO, and timekeeping records
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Administer Worker's Compensation Benefits and OSHA compliance instruction
- Coordinate employee relations efforts, including conflict resolution and performance management support
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
- Assist departmental leads with staff scheduling
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in human resources, HR administration, or a related field
- Working knowledge of employment law, FMLA, ADA, and HR compliance standards
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a people-first mindset
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Ability to work with initiative and creativity to identify and solve problems
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Previous experience managing HR in veterinary practices is welcomed but not required
