Part Time Employment and Summer Internship for STEM Major/ IT Students
KamTek Inc. It also maintains a cGMP compliant, state-of the art biorepository located in Frederick, Maryland. This facility is registered with FDA, compliant with CDC and NIH guidelines for biosafety levels BSL- 2 and has operations meeting ISO 9001:2015 standards.
KamTek has two opportunities:
(A) One Part time position: It’s an opportunity to learn and to contribute to an important national project. The responsibilities shall include:
· Perform inventory of archived pathology slides, tissue blocks, freshly collected clinical samples and analyze the data to facilitate new investigations.
· Perform tasks associated with records maintenance, keeping lab clean and organized.
(B) One Biorepository Intern:
A team member at the level of Biorepository Intern will have the opportunity to learn and work in a challenging environment. The inter will participate in:
· Management of the cGMP Biorepository facility and associated operations.
· Update entries on eQMS for generating real time data on various biorepository operations and maintaining centralized information.
· Assist KamTek Scientists in Lab operations
Preferred qualifications and skills
· Background in STEM Majors, Biology, Biotechnology, or IT.
· Have skills to operate inventory systems, handle biospecimens, shipments, prepare reports, analyze data, and maintain records.
· Strong computer skills in MS word and Excel.
· Have ability to follow laboratory safety rules and procedures.
