We are looking for a Senior Accountant to become part of a fast-growing global company.
Responsibilities will include daily operational accounting tasks including month-end close activities and preparation and review of account reconciliations. Taking the lead in overall maintenance of sales tax software and ensuring compliance with state and corporate tax requirements and filings. Support the business in Accounts Receivable activities including customer relations and collections. Maintain accurate records and control reports for all Kamstrup Companies in North America, currently Kamstrup Water Metering LLC (US) and Kamstrup Metering Solutions Canada Inc.
The Senior Accountant will help to ensure complete and accurate records, assist with routine accounting duties, and provide prompt, courteous responses to inquiries or complaints from customers. The job requires strong analytical and communication skills.
The Senior Accountant will be directly reporting to the Finance Manager in Kamstrup Water Metering LLC North America but have a professional collaboration with the Group Accounting Teams in Kamstrup A/S in Denmark.

Responsibilities
- Assist finance Manager with tax compliance activities, including submission of tax filings and maintenance of tax registrations using Avalara tax software.
- Support with state tax registration requirements, reporting obligations, and ongoing compliance updates.
- Assist in the coordination of corporate tax filings, including supporting documentation and timely tax payments ensuring the company meets all tax filing deadlines (income tax, franchise, tax, property tax, sales and use tax, etc.).
- Support the business of Accounts Receivable activities, including customer relations, collections, KPI’s and credit management.
- Support the daily operational tasks and month end close procedures and other finance related tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience.
- Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation.
- Avalara Tax software experience is preferred.
- Exceptional time management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in ERP Accounting systems and MS Excel.
- Organized and able to balance attention to detail with big-picture thinking to deliver solutions that are effective and fit for purpose.
- Ability to process data accurately and efficiently.
