Job Description Kammerer Dynamics Inc. (KDi) is looking for a driver. As we expand our footprint in the structural steel industry alongside our custom one-off fabrication work, we need a Head of Engineering who understands that a drawing is only as good as the speed at which it hits the shop floor.

This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to sit behind a screen. We need an organized, high-paced leader—whether you are a degreed engineer or a seasoned Project Manager—who can own the entire pipeline. You will be the point person for keeping jobs moving, managing the approval process with customers, and ensuring our two-shift operation never has to wait for prints.

The Mission:

· Own the Flow: Manage the transition of jobs from the quoting stage through engineering and onto the production floor. Your success is measured by the pace and accuracy of work moving to the shop.

· Eliminate Stalls: Proactively follow up on jobs out for approval. You are the "closer" who ensures customer revisions don't become bottlenecks.

· Structural Expertise: Utilize your background in structural steel to ensure projects are drawn and executed to industry standards.

· Technical Execution: Work within Autodesk Inventor and Tekla to draw, open, and verify prints. You need to be comfortable "getting into the weeds" of a model to ensure it is fabrication-ready.

· Project Coordination: Act as the bridge between the customer’s vision and the shop’s execution, ensuring every one-off job or structural build is organized and scheduled correctly.

Qualifications:

· Experience: Strong background in structural steel fabrication is a major plus.

· Software: Proficiency in Tekla and/or Autodesk Inventor is required.

· Education: A degree in Engineering is preferred, but we value experience and a proven track record of project management just as highly.

· Mindset: You must be hyper-organized and possess the "push" required to keep a fast-paced manufacturing environment running efficiently.

· Communication: Ability to professionally push customers for approvals while clearly communicating technical requirements to the shop floor.
