Looking for an experienced QA Analyst to help lead quality processes, procedures, and audits to ensure deliverables meet established standards. Responsibilities include participating in design, code, and test reviews; supporting testing activities; generating audit reports; tracking nonconformance issues; and recommending corrective actions. You will also review technical documentation and help maintain overall system safety and security.
*This is a 6-12 month contract position located in Baltimore, MD. Candidates must reside in Maryland and be willing to work onsite a few days per week.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Evaluate QA plans and ensure activities align with best practices.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize QA trends and data for reporting.
- Execute QA activities such as document reviews, meeting participation, and test reviews.
- Conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance with standards.
- Identify project risks and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
- Document, track, and close findings and observations.
- Identify process gaps and support investigation and remediation efforts.
- Review software documentation as assigned.
- Collaborate with development, integration, test, and operations teams.
- Provide input and guidance to a small QA team.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of QA experience in a software environment.
- Experience planning, conducting, and reporting on audits or assessments.
- Strong understanding of QA best practices within software or systems development.
- Background in software and systems development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- QA certifications (e.g., CSQE, CQA).
- Preferred: Familiarity with software development in highly regulated or technical industries.
