Epic Inpatient ClinDoc & Orders Consultant
Duration: 6-month contract (extension possible)
Location: 100% Remote (highly prefer EST time zone candidates)
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Epic Inpatient Consultant with expertise in both Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) and Orders. This role will focus on resolving system issues and executing against a prioritized optimization backlog to improve workflows, efficiency, and overall system performance across the inpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Epic Inpatient Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc) and Orders applications
- Execute system enhancements and improvements based on a defined optimization list
- Perform build, configuration, testing, and validation for ClinDoc and Orders changes
- Optimize workflows related to clinical documentation and provider order entry
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to improve system usability and effectiveness
- Maintain documentation of system changes and adhere to build standards and best practices
- Proactively identify opportunities for system and workflow optimization
Required Qualifications
- Epic ClinDoc Certification (required)
- Epic Orders Certification (required)
- Strong hands-on experience supporting Epic inpatient environments
- Proven expertise in both ClinDoc and Orders build, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Experience working in optimization-focused engagements (post-implementation support)
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Additional Information
- This role will not utilize ServiceNow or a traditional ticketing system
- Work will be managed through a structured optimization and issue tracking list
