Our client is currently seeking a QA Production Support Specialist to support the continued development and execution of systems strategies focused on enabling business capabilities in support of claims, underwriting and service functions.
Responsibilities:
Working under the supervision of the Supervisor of Business Systems, the Production Support Specialist is expected to:
- Assist with production support, including triaging, reporting defects, and collaborating with the business to identify workarounds
- Gather information independently, carry out necessary research and provide an in-depth analysis to resolve production issues
- Provide severity and scope analysis of issues, inquiries and requests
- Maintain ownership until resolution of technical issue has been delivered
- Organize multiple production issues, customer requests and inquiries from other sources
- Provide support in defining system enhancement opportunities identified during production support interactions
- Review and analyze user stories and assist with authoring user acceptance criteria and test steps in collaboration with the Program/Product Owner.
- Execute test plans and test strategies as defined by the Systems team.
- Execute Regression test plans as defined by the Systems team and assist in identifying gaps of unit testing test cases when regression items are found.
- Evaluate configuration according to specifications
- Report bugs and errors to development teams with detailed steps to recreate the defect or bug
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Identify where and when negative testing is required to ensure a change or enhancement is implemented correctly.

- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar Production Support Specialist role is a plus
- Experience utilizing JIRA for full project management for test case execution, tracking and defect reporting and resolution.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr) and SQL
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
